Indian Railways Changed Train Timetable effective from July 2012 Announced


New all India Railway timetable also known as “Trains at a Glance” effective from July 01, 2012 has been announced by Ministry of Railways. Moreover, all the 17 zonal Railways also made it public their zonal railways time table which too will be effective from 01-07-2012. Rail passengers likely to travel in Indian trains should check their new train timings before starting rail journey.


The new Trains at a Glance uploaded on Railways website is made available online for rail passengers. One can check this new train timetable at official website of Indian Railways i.e. 
www.indianrailways.gov.in
This new train time table contains revised train schedule. Some Trains are changed/renumbered too in new train timetable. You can plan your journey using online train timetable.

What is New in New Train TimeTable 2012

New Trains At a Glance 2012-13 The salient features of Trains at a Glance-2012 are as under:
Encouraged by the public response over the past few years all the user-friendly features of Trains at a Glance viz. how to read a table, route map, station index, trains between important stations, station code index, Train number index, Train name index, has been retained.
Commercial information of passenger use and interest viz. advance reservation period, reservation through internet, refund rules and rail travel concessions have been suitably updated. New addition to the fare chart is the fare for AC and mixed type of Duronto services.
Information regarding Vigilance organization, Public grievance machinery, disaster management and catering services have been incorporated.
Railway Budget 2012-13 announcements: The details of all the train services announced and which have been incorporated in the Trains at a Glance are as under:

113 new trains, 39 extension and 23 increase in frequency of existing trains have been announced in the Railway Budget 2012-13 and these have been incorporated in the Trains At a Glance 2012.

Within the next one month, 37 new trains, 29 extensions of train services and increase in frequency of 7 trains are likely to be introduced.

It is good news for passengers that the new railway timetable might speed up some trains. Due to newly released train timetable, rail passengers can save travel time up to 30 minutes for a journey. Some trains will reach early at the destinations; however some trains may also reach a bit late at the destinations according to the latest released railway time table. Since timings of various trains have been changed, therefore, passengers who have purchased tickets before July 01, 2012 are advised to ensure the train arrival and departure time by checking new train schedule effective from July 2012.
